Notice to Parents

As a result of the federal No Child Left Behind Act, your child may receive extra academic assistance in the form of tutoring if your family meets the income limits under the law and because Wagoner School is in school improvement. This free Supplemental Educational Service (SES) tutoring program is available through the Sylvan Learning Center in Homewood. To assist in this process, Wagoner School has opened an enrollment period for the 2009-2010 school year. The Sylvan Learning Center has been approved by the Illinois State Board of Education and will provide your child with tutoring that is coordinated with what is being taught in school.

If more students request tutoring than can be served through available funding, priority will be given to low-performing students. This will be determined by Wagoner School. Please contact Wagoner School for more information and click on the link below for information about Sylvan.
