Strassburg School has about 430 students in 3rd through 5th grade. There are 18 regular classrooms, 29 teachers and 11 support staff members employed here.
Our school is named Strassburg to honor the original settlers who came to this area in the 1840's from Strassburg, Germany. This area was named Strassburg, prior to Sauk Village, which was incorporated in 1957.
Strassburg School was built in 1960 and in the past, students from Kindergarten through 8th grade attended the school. As Sauk Village grew, two other schools were built - Wagoner Elementary and Rickover Junior High. Three schools now comprise CCSD168.
