RJHS is excited to announce that Jahkil Jackson will serve as the keynote speaker for the upcoming Rickover Career Day, scheduled for April 24, 2025. Jahkil is a remarkable individual whose achievements and vision truly embody the theme of this year's event: "Future Focus."
Jahkil is a globally recognized changemaker, student-athlete, two-time best-selling author, and the founder of Project I Am, a nonprofit he launched at just 8 years old to raise awareness about homelessness. His passion for service ignited after helping his aunt distribute food to the unhoused in Chicago, sparking a mission that has since impacted over 200,000 individuals worldwide.
Now 17, Jahkil is recognized globally as one of the most influential changemakers by President Barack Obama. Featured in Forbes Magazine at only 10 years old, Jahkil has dedicated himself to assisting individuals in need, residing on the streets and in shelters, while inspiring other youth to become change agents. Jahkil has led the effort to raise over $650,000, has mobilized 2,000+ youth volunteers globally, and expanded Project I Am internationally to France, Spain, and Toronto. His organization distributes Blessing Bags filled with daily essentials to people in need across the U.S., India, London, Ghana, Swaziland, and disaster-stricken areas like Guatemala, the Bahamas, and Puerto Rico.
Jahkil has been featured in campaigns with LeBron James, Nike, and The Gap. He has been recognized as one of BET’s 15 Under 15, honored as a Red Cross Hero, CNN Hero and Marvel Hero and continues to inspire through his work. Jahkil serves as a youth ambassador for major organizations including Heartland Alliance, WE International Youth Council, and Giving Tuesday Sparks, while also partnering with the NBA, the Obama Foundation, Invisalign, Fantikk and NasaClip. Notably, his custom pillow line with Crate & Barrel directly supports his philanthropic initiatives, further expanding his impact.
