SUBSTITUTE TEACHER INFORMATION

Thank you for your interest in Substitute Teaching at our District!

Substitute teachers are an integral part of our students’ learning process. We are looking for substitute teacher who are responsibility, dedicated, share our passion for teaching and learning, and are available to work regularly throughout the school year. The current pay for substitute teachers is as follows:

Certified Educators with PEL

Holders of Illinois Substitute Teacher License

$175/day

day to day substitute

$190/day

(Long-Term) w/SUB License

$210/day

(Long-Term) w/PEL

Instructions

  1. Contact the South Cook Intermediate Center (ISC4) at (708) 754‐6600.

    ISC4 handles the substitute teaching process for the South Suburban Area and will explain the process to become a certified substitute teacher.

  2. Once the process is complete with the South Cook Intermediate Center, you will be provided with forms that should be brought to any district you are interested in substitute teaching.

  3. Complete an application on the District Website www.d168.org under “Employment”

  4. Contact the CCSD 168 Human Resources Office at
